Reinforcers that work for you
What have you found to be the most successful reinforcers for your child? With some kids it's so easy to find something that motivates them, with others it's a challenge! We sometimes need 2 separate categories of reinforcers too... 1 to get on the toilet and another to actually go. Many kids just get on the potty, no big deal. Some need a bit of convincing and a song or short book usually does it. If your kid was more resistant to sitting on the toilet work work for you to give him a reason to WANT to sit there? What reinforcers have made your child want to pee and/or poop in the toilet?
